Education for children in the slums and villages is the key for breaking the cycle of poverty, the key to a better future. That's why GPM provides formal and informal schooling to 1000 children each year.
GPM's approach to education is through the lens of the "Triad of Children's Development," meaning Education cannot happen in a vacuum, rather together with Health and Nutrition. Thus GPM provides a nurturing educational environment which encourages problem solving and experiential learning, along with hot nutritious meals each day, and monthly wellness checks from our health staff.
Education is key to break the cycle of poverty. Without an education children are destined for a life of menial labor and slum dwelling. Education is a catalyst which allows for children to lift themselves and their families out of poverty and into a better future.
